About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your classroom learning to real-world practice. Under the guidance of a preceptor, you will complete a training roadmap designed to prepare you for a future Pharmacist role. You will gain experience across store, district, and regional operations while supporting the pharmacy team to deliver care to our patients.
What you'll do#
- Follow company SOPs and pharmacy workflow procedures to ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Assist the pharmacy team with daily operations, including basic inventory activities like cycle counts and medication deliveries.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by offering to counsel, fielding medical questions, and providing compassionate service.
- Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and clarify medication details.
- Provide coaching, training, and mentoring to pharmacy team members.
- Deliver patient health care services, such as immunizations and point-of-care testing, where permitted by law.
- Maintain patient privacy and security while complying with all professional standards and regulations.
- Support technician immunizer status requirements by educating patients and documenting information.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Possession of, or the process of obtaining, valid intern or technician licensure.
- Ability to work in your home store and travel to other locations within the market.
- Ability to become immunization certified.
- 1+ years of experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service settings is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite is preferred.

- Schedule: Part-time, rolling term.
- Compensation: $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
