About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work as part of the pharmacy team under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. This role focuses on delivering care to patients while maintaining a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. You will gain professional experience by supporting pharmacy operations and patient care programs.
What you'll do#
- Ensure a safe and effective work environment in the pharmacy.
- Deliver care to each patient with empathy and compassion.
- Adopt and manage patient care programs.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Assist with pharmacy practice, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance.
- Manage inventory and workflow.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Ability to work nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and reaching.
