About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. You will play a key role in patient care by helping manage chronic conditions and advising on prescriptions. This position is part-time and offers the opportunity to gain professional experience while contributing to our pharmacy team.
What you'll do#
- Ensure patient safety and follow all regulatory requirements.
- Manage pharmacy workflow, inventory, and quality assurance tasks.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to patients and caregivers.
- Lead with empathy and compassion while collaborating with your team.
- Support the adoption and management of patient care programs.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Foster a team culture centered on caring, energy, and pride.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Between 0 and 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, reach overhead, stoop, and lift up to 20 lbs.
- Close visual acuity for reading, transcribing, and viewing computer terminals.
- Completion of all required training within state guidelines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and immunization eligibility are preferred.
