Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the delivery of quality patient care. This role focuses on maintaining a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment while gaining professional experience in patient safety, regulatory compliance, and pharmacy operations.

What you'll do#

• Ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy work environment that delivers exceptional care to each patient.
• Lead with empathy and compassion for patients, customers, caregivers, and colleagues.
• Facilitate a team culture that promotes energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
• Support patient care programs and contribute to inventory and workflow management.
• Perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 20 lbs, and utilizing finger dexterity for precise tasks.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance, which may include nights and weekends.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in or acceptance to an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it as required by state guidelines.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to complete all required training within state-mandated timeframes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
• Immunization eligibility is preferred.
