As a Pharmacy Intern, you will play a critical role in delivering patient care and supporting the pharmacy team. This position offers an opportunity to gain professional experience in a community healthcare setting while working under the supervision of a preceptor. You will participate in the ExperienceRx program to develop your clinical and operational skills.
What you'll do#
- Participate in all aspects of the prescription filling process.
- Provide patient counseling and assist customers with pharmacy and front-store inquiries.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide coordinated patient care.
- Offer health screenings and immunizations when appropriate.
- Support pharmacy operations, including inventory management and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to a team culture focused on patient safety and quality service.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a School of Pharmacy.
- An active Pharmacy Intern license in the state of employment.
- Must not be on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
- No pending felony charges or convictions for criminal offenses involving controlled substances.
