Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

This Summer 2026 Pharmacy Intern position offers an opportunity to apply your pharmacy school education in a real-world retail setting. You will follow a comprehensive training roadmap designed to prepare you for the responsibilities of a Pharmacist. Under the guidance of a preceptor, you will gain hands-on experience in store, district, and regional operations while contributing to a team focused on patient health and safety.

What you'll do#

• Assist the pharmacy team in ensuring operations run smoothly, including accurate and prompt prescription fulfillment.
• Provide compassionate patient service at pick-up, drive-thru, and over the phone, including offering immunizations and other health services.
• Offer counseling, field medical questions, and solicit medical history information under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Complete inventory tasks such as processing medication deliveries, cycle counts, returns-to-stock, and waiting bin inventories.
• Comply with all federal, state, and local laws, professional standards, and ethical principles regarding pharmacy practice and patient privacy.
• Maintain flexibility to support business needs, including potential travel to other store locations within the market.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Possession of, or active progress toward, a valid intern or technician license as required by state regulations.
• Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy to maintain patient safety.
• Ability to pivot quickly between tasks to meet patient and business demands.
• Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
