Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will gain hands-on experience by applying didactic learning from pharmacy school to real-world practice. You will follow a comprehensive training roadmap, including Key Learning Experiences (KLEs), to understand pharmacy operations at the store, district, and regional levels. This role is designed to prepare you for future responsibilities as a pharmacist by working under the direction of a preceptor.

What you'll do#

• Complete a comprehensive training roadmap to build aptitude in pharmacy operations.
• Assist the pharmacy team in ensuring operations run smoothly, including prescription fulfillment, inventory management, and following Standard Operating Procedures.
• Contribute to a high-performing team by embracing a growth mindset and remaining receptive to feedback.
• Comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ethical principles to ensure patient safety and privacy.
• Maintain focus and flexibility, pivoting quickly between tasks to meet patient and business needs.

What you'll need#

• Acceptance into, or active enrollment in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Possession of, or the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to concentrate on tasks over extended periods.
• Ability to pivot quickly between responsibilities to address patient and business requirements.
