About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. You will play a key role in delivering care to patients and supporting the pharmacy team. This is a part-time, on-site role based in Morgantown, West Virginia.
What you'll do#
- Support pharmacy operations including inventory management, quality assurance, and workflow management, excluding final prescription verification.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and patient care while adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Manage and adopt patient care programs to keep customers and patients healthy.
- Provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Demonstrate empathy and compassion while collaborating with your team to deliver positive outcomes.
- Facilitate a positive team culture through energy and enthusiasm.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or acceptance to an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Possession of, or progress toward, a valid intern or technician license as required by the state.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance, including working nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, reach, stoop, and lift up to 20 lbs.
- Immunization eligibility.
