About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your classroom learning to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a comprehensive training roadmap designed to prepare you for a future role as a pharmacist. This position involves gaining experience in pharmacy operations while supporting our teams in delivering patient care.
What you'll do#
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap focused on Key Learning Experiences.
- Assist the pharmacy team with prescription fulfillment and pharmacy operations.
- Offer to counsel and field medical questions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Take telephonic prescriptions and facilitate medication changes as allowed by law.
- Maintain pharmacy safety and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
What you'll need#
- Acceptance into or active enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Possession of, or progress toward obtaining, a valid intern or technician license.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
