Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the delivery of quality health care. This role is designed for students to gain professional experience within a retail pharmacy environment, focusing on patient safety, regulatory compliance, and workflow management.

What you'll do#

• Deliver exceptional care to patients and provide support to customers, caregivers, and colleagues.
• Lead patient care programs to help manage health outcomes.
• Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, energy, and enthusiasm.
• Maintain a safe and effective retail pharmacy work environment.
• Display empathy and compassion in all patient and team interactions.
• Perform physical tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 20 lbs, and utilizing fine motor skills for pharmacy operations.
• Complete all required training and maintain necessary licensure within state guidelines.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Valid intern or technician licensure as required by the state, or be in the process of obtaining it.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Preferred: Immunization eligibility and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
