About the role#
This is a 10.5-week full-time internship focused on sales and use tax compliance within a large corporate environment. You will gain exposure to audit support, tax technology, and cross-functional collaboration while working alongside the indirect tax team.
What you'll do#
- Prepare, review, and analyze data related to sales and use tax compliance.
- Assist with tax notices, business license matters, and other indirect tax issues.
- Gather and organize documentation to support sales and use tax audits.
- Prepare workpapers, reconciliations, and other compliance-related files.
- Research sales and use tax law developments and taxability questions.
- Monitor business activities and maintain data to support filing responsibilities.
- Partner with team members on process improvement and automation projects.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Support special projects and other assigned duties.
What you'll need#
- Anticipated completion of a bachelor's degree between December 2027 and August 2028, or enrollment in a 3+1 or 4+1 master's program.
- Major, minor, or concentration in Finance or Accounting.
- Strong interest in indirect tax, specifically sales and use tax compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, sorting, filtering, and data analysis.
- Ability to work accurately with large data sets and strong attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a corporate team environment.
- Demonstrated leadership experience is preferred.
- Coursework in taxation, accounting, or finance is preferred.
- Interest in a full-time position with CVS Health upon graduation is preferred.

- Location: Cumberland, Rhode Island.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May 24, 2027, through August 4, 2027).
- Modality: Hybrid, with 3 days per week expected in the office.
- Employment: Full-time paid position.
