Foreign Pharmacy Grad - International Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As an International Pharmacy Intern, you will complete a structured learning plan designed to bridge your international education with US pharmacy practice. This role is designed for foreign pharmacy graduates to gain the required US internship hours and hands-on experience necessary to prepare for a future career as a Pharmacist. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to build clinical knowledge, business acumen, and leadership skills.

What you'll do#

• Complete a mixed-modality learning plan to develop your professional knowledge and skills.
• Assist the pharmacy team in ensuring operations run smoothly, including accurate and prompt prescription fulfillment.
• Follow standard operating procedures at all workstations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
• Demonstrate empathy and genuine care to provide service that exceeds patient expectations.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and collaborative team culture.
• Engage in inventory activities and assist with patient health care services, such as immunizations, where permitted by law and supported by training.

What you'll need#

• Graduation from a non-US accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• FPGEC certification.
• Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure in the state of practice within 120 days of completing required US intern hours.
• Must possess or be in the process of obtaining valid intern or technician licensure as required by the state.
• Ability to work a full-time schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Proficiency in verbal and written communication, mathematical reasoning, and problem resolution.
• Ability to meet physical demands, including standing for extended periods, reaching, and lifting up to 20 lbs.
