Foreign Pharmacy Grad - International Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

This position is designed for foreign-educated pharmacy graduates seeking to complete their required US internship hours. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to apply your education to real-world practice, preparing for a future role as a licensed pharmacist. This is a full-time, on-site role that requires the successful completion of internship hours within 18 months and obtaining pharmacist licensure within 120 days of finishing those hours.

What you'll do#

• Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately.
• Follow established pharmacy workflow procedures at every workstation, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
• Contribute to positive patient experiences by demonstrating empathy, genuine care, and professional communication.
• Perform basic inventory activities, such as processing medication deliveries, cycle counts, and returns, as permitted by law.
• Deliver additional patient health care services, such as immunizations and point-of-care testing, where allowable by law and supported by required training and certification.

What you'll need#

• Graduation from a non-US accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• FPGEC certification.
• Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
• Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
• Commitment to obtaining pharmacist licensure in the state of practice within 120 days of completing US intern hours.
