About the role#
This is a 10.5-week full-time internship focused on supporting the indirect tax team within a large corporate environment. You will gain exposure to federal and state income tax compliance, audit support, and tax technology. The role involves cross-functional collaboration and projects aimed at process improvement.
What you'll do#
- Handle U.S. Federal tax compliance and reporting.
- Manage State Income, Sales, and Use tax compliance.
- Conduct tax research to address business questions.
- Monitor business activities and maintain the data required for filing responsibilities.
- Partner with team members on automation and process improvement projects.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Support special projects and other assigned duties.
What you'll need#
- Completion of a bachelor's degree program between December 2027 and August 2028.
- A major, minor, or concentration in Finance or Accounting.
- Coursework in accounting, taxation, finance, or related business fields.
- Proficiency in Excel, including formulas, sorting, and filtering.
- Experience with data analysis and visualization tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in school, work, or social organizations.
- High attention to detail and ability to work accurately with large data sets.
- Interest in indirect tax and pursuing a full-time tax position at CVS Health after graduation.
Location & details#
- Location: Cumberland, Rhode Island.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May 24, 2027, to August 4, 2027).
- Modality: Hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 days remote).
- Compensation: $26 per hour.
- Status: Full-time, paid internship.
- Note: Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
