About the role#
The Interior Design Intern supports the design team in project development, material sourcing, and client support. This role offers hands-on experience in a professional design firm, focusing on Custer’s processes and design best practices.
What you'll do#
- Assist with finish selections and the development of presentation boards for various project phases.
- Support designers in the research and sourcing of materials, furnishings, and resources.
- Explore a range of vendors and product solutions to maintain a diverse design approach.
- Maintain the design library, materials, and product literature.
- Set up and participate in manufacturer representative presentations.
- Deliver materials to local clients and visit local vendors to select or pick up project resources.
- Help in the field as needed, supporting installations and site visits.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from an accredited design school.
- Must have successfully completed sophomore year of study.
- Ability to work a minimum of 15 hours per week.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to respond well to mentorship and guided direction.
