About the role#
As an Interior Design Intern at Custer, Inc., you will support the design team in bringing creative concepts to life. This role offers hands-on experience in project development, material sourcing, and vendor coordination within a professional design environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist with finish selections and the development of presentation boards for project phases.
- Support designers by researching and sourcing materials, furnishings, and resources.
- Explore a range of vendors and product solutions to maintain a diverse design approach.
- Maintain the design library, materials, and product literature.
- Set up and participate in manufacturer representative presentations.
- Deliver materials to local clients and visit local vendors to select or pick up project resources.
- Assist in organizing materials and documentation for client meetings.
- Help in the field as needed by supporting installations and site visits.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from an accredited school.
- Must have successfully completed sophomore year.
- Ability to work a minimum of 15 hours per week.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas clearly.
