About the role#
This Finance Summer Internship offers students the opportunity to gain professional experience within our Finance, Accounting, and Risk Insurance departments. Interns will support business operations, participate in system improvement projects, and assist with financial analysis for the Summer 2027 term. You will work on a full-time basis, either on-site in Columbus, Indiana, or remotely from your home office.
What you'll do#
- Provide financial and business analysis support for corporate functions.
- Prepare statistical reporting and compile annual budgeting and forecasting data.
- Analyze cost variances and determine root causes for cost updates.
- Participate in the month-end close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Assist with the day-to-day management of the Corporate Risk Insurance department.
- Support the coordination and placement of global commercial insurance programs.
- Review risk management data and analyze loss engineering reports.
- Support the implementation, administration, and maintenance of finance systems.
- Partner with finance, IT, and project management teams to test and deliver system improvements.
- Develop customized reports and perform ad hoc analysis for end users.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university.
- Active pursuit of a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields.
- A minimum GPA of 2.5.
- Current residency within the continental United States.
- Ability to manage academic responsibilities alongside job performance.

- Location: Columbus, Indiana, or remote.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Commitment: Full-time (40 hours per week) for 10 to 12 weeks.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
