About the role#

This Co-Op position supports the development, validation, and optimization of emissions control systems within the Decomp Reactor Development (DRD) organization. You will serve as a bridge between test engineering and data analytics to ensure the traceability and repeatability of validation results while contributing to process improvements.

What you'll do#

• Lead test planning and execution for emissions and performance validation campaigns, specifically focusing on NH₃ UI, mixer, and aftertreatment subsystems.
• Develop, automate, and maintain data analysis tools using MATLAB, LabView, and Excel to support test reporting and repeatability.
• Coordinate with Lab Operations, Product Engineers, and functional teams to ensure high-quality test execution aligned with established engineering processes.
• Utilize flow dynamics expertise to support the analysis of urea injection systems, mixers, and sensor data.
• Create and maintain process documentation, including RACI charts, test procedures, and validation plans.
• Present technical findings and documentation to cross-functional teams using PowerPoint and Microsoft Project.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred), Electrical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
• Previous experience in validation, test development, or data analysis engineering roles.
• Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency in data analysis and automation tools such as MATLAB, LabView, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies, flow dynamics, and project management tools like Microsoft Project is highly valued.
