About the role#
As a Ready Mix/Logistics Intern, you will gain experience across multiple aspects of the ready mix division. You will work with a vertically integrated company to learn how different business lines function together.
What you'll do#
- Support the customer service department by answering calls and directing customers.
- Assist the sales department with daily tasks.
- Learn about quality control processes.
- Help with data analytics projects.
- Gain hands-on experience in plant operations.
- Maintain a professional attitude and follow all safety procedures.
- Be prepared to work nights, weekends, or travel when necessary.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Associate degree program in Concrete Management or Operations Management, or two to four years of equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in Windows, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, procedure manuals, and operating instructions.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and employees.
- Mathematical skills, including the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
- Ability to solve practical problems and interpret various forms of instructions.
- Ability to lift or move more than 25 pounds and perform physical tasks like standing, walking, and balancing.
