Operations Intern

About the role#

The Operations Intern will join the Crane Company manufacturing team in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role focuses on the production process, helping to ensure that raw materials are converted into high-quality finished products safely and efficiently. You will gain hands-on experience in project management, lean principles, and continuous improvement while working alongside engineering, quality, and supply chain teams.

What you'll do#

• Assist with ongoing operational improvement projects.
• Collaborate across engineering, quality, and supply chain departments.
• Analyze operational data to support production goals.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to group discussions.
• Solve problems both independently and in coordination with production and engineering staff.
• Present project progress to site leadership through mid-term and final reports.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or Creo.
• Working knowledge of process and product specifications.
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
