About the role#
The Supply Chain Intern will support the team in managing supplier relations, performance, and quality. This role focuses on maintaining inventory levels to support production needs through the Kanban material replenishment system. This position offers hands-on experience in project management, lean principles, and continuous improvement activities within a manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Improve inventory processes and maintain the Kanban system.
- Provide purchasing support and assist with pricing updates.
- Automate processes for data tracking and purchasing.
- Conduct data analysis regarding material receipts, supplier performance, supplier quality, inventory control, and expedites.
- Participate in group projects with cross-functional interns and present project progress to site leadership.
What you'll need#
- Actively pursuing an undergraduate degree in Supply Chain Management or Operations Management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail with a focus on supplier quality.
- Ability to manage time effectively and stay organized.
