About the role#
Coveo is looking for a Backend Developer Intern to join the DevTooling team within Platform Engineering. You will contribute to the tools and infrastructure that developers across R&D rely on daily. This role focuses on improving the software delivery lifecycle, contributing to the CI/CD ecosystem, and gaining hands-on experience with DevOps and infrastructure technologies at scale.
What you'll do#
- Engage in daily stand-up meetings to discuss progress, roadblocks, and plans.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure effective communication.
- Manage and resolve assigned Jira tickets.
- Contribute to real-world projects, including coding, testing, and deploying solutions for clients.
- Ask questions, explore new technologies, and apply best practices.
- Take an active role in code review sessions by offering constructive feedback and learning from experienced developers.
What you'll need#
- Currently studying Software Engineering or Computer Science in a Bachelor's degree or higher in the province of Quebec.
- Legally entitled to work full-time in Canada for the duration of the 15 week internship.
- Experience with Python.
- Completion of at least one previous internship.
- A strong sense of ownership and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- Curiosity about DevOps, infrastructure, and CI/CD, with an interest in learning Kubernetes, ArgoCD, GitOps, and Terraform.
- Participation in hackathons or development of personal projects.
