About the role#
Corteva Agriscience is hiring a full-time intern for our Research and Development organization in Indianapolis. You will work alongside scientists and technical experts in an industrial setting to build your skills and contribute to ongoing projects. This is a paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Work on a project focused on novel molecule design, synthesis, or scale up.
- Manage all phases of research, from initial planning and preparation to calibration, application, evaluation, and data analysis.
- Follow safety protocols and contribute to our safety culture.
- Interpret data and draw scientific conclusions to demonstrate independent and creative thinking.
- Present project reviews throughout the summer and deliver a final poster presentation to your peers.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate program in Chemistry. Analytical, Organic, or Biochemistry backgrounds are preferred.
- Completion of at least one full year of undergraduate-level organic chemistry coursework and associated labs.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week, for at least 10 weeks between May and August.
- Familiarity with compound characterization techniques like NMR, IR, GC/MS, LC/MS, TLC, liquid/liquid extractions, crystallization, distillation, or column chromatography is a plus.
Location & details#
- This position is located in Indianapolis, Indiana.
- You must be able to relocate to the area for the duration of the Summer 2027 term.
