About the role#
As a Chemistry Analyst Intern, you will gain exposure to quality control test methods for product release. You will work on projects assigned by Quality department management, focusing on specific areas within the chemistry lab. This role requires you to write a project charter and all applicable protocols, culminating in a final presentation. You will also learn about current good manufacturing practices.
What you'll do#
- Test raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods.
- Perform chemical testing using analytical instrumentation like HPLC, ICP-OES, and CE-SDS.
- Troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and perform simple repairs.
- Complete bench records and enter data into LIMS.
- Conduct or assist with laboratory investigations and deviations.
- Prepare standards and stock solutions while maintaining test methods and procedures.
- Clean and maintain lab equipment.
- Adhere to testing schedules to support manufacturing needs.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a Chemistry or closely related degree program.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to write, comprehend, and follow scientific procedures.
- Flexibility to work limited off-shift and weekend hours.

- This position is located on-site in Osage, Iowa.
- The role is full-time and paid.
