About the role#
This is a paid, full-time Summer Associate position for Summer 2027. You will work on-site in Midvale, Utah. The program is designed to mirror the daily responsibilities of a first-year associate, offering direct mentorship and practical experience in family law.
What you'll do#
- Draft and analyze legal documents for active family law cases.
- Conduct legal research and help prepare trial materials.
- Attend court proceedings alongside experienced attorneys.
- Join client meetings to gain insight into case strategy.
- Work directly with a Litigation Partner to build a foundation in family law practice.
- Participate in firm-sponsored networking and social events.
- Assist with other tasks as needed to support firm operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a 2L student at an accredited law school, with a graduation date of 2028.
- A law school GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- A clear interest in pursuing a career in family law.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to reside in the assigned office location for the duration of the program.
- Flexibility regarding work location after graduation.
