About the role#
This Summer Associate program is designed to mirror the daily experience of a first-year associate. You will gain practical experience in family law by working directly with seasoned attorneys and firm leaders. We aim to provide a clear pathway to a career in family law, with the potential for part-time law clerk positions during your third year and full-time roles after graduation.
What you'll do#
- Draft and analyze legal documents for active family law cases.
- Conduct legal research and help prepare trial materials.
- Attend court proceedings alongside experienced attorneys.
- Participate in client meetings to gain insight into case strategy.
- Work closely with a Litigation Partner to build a foundational understanding of family law practice.
- Engage in firm-sponsored networking and social events.
- Assist with other tasks as needed to help the business run effectively.
What you'll need#
- You are a current 2L student (2028 graduate) in good standing at an accredited law school.
- You have a demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in family law.
- Your law school GPA is 3.0 or higher.
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- You have the ability to relocate or reside in the assigned office location for the duration of the program.
- You are flexible regarding work destinations upon graduation.

- Location: Edina, Minnesota.

- Work modality: On-site.
- This is a full-time, paid internship at $35 per hour.
