About the role#
Cordell and Cordell PC is hiring a Summer Associate for their Denver office. This paid, full-time internship is designed for law students interested in family law. The program mirrors the experience of a first-year associate, providing direct mentorship and practical legal work. You will work closely with a Litigation Partner to build a foundation in family law practice.
What you'll do#
- Draft and analyze legal documents for active family law cases.
- Conduct legal research and help prepare trial materials.
- Attend court proceedings alongside experienced attorneys.
- Join client meetings to gain insight into case strategy.
- Participate in firm-sponsored networking and social events.
- Assist with other tasks required to run the business.
What you'll need#
- Current 2L status (2028 graduate) in good standing at an accredited law school.
- A Law School GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- A demonstrated interest in a career in family law.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to reside in the Denver office location for the duration of the program.
- Flexibility regarding work locations after graduation.
