About the role#
Corcentric is seeking a law student for the Fall 2026 Legal Externship Program. This position provides practical experience working with in-house counsel within a corporate legal department. The program is designed to complement classroom instruction by exposing students to the daily responsibilities of legal professionals in a business environment.
What you'll do#
- Review and summarize commercial agreements.
- Conduct legal and regulatory research.
- Draft legal memoranda, summaries, and business-facing guidance materials.
- Assist with contract drafting and redlining projects.
- Support privacy, compliance, and governance initiatives.
- Review vendor due diligence and risk management materials.
- Participate in meetings with legal and business stakeholders.
- Assist with special projects related to corporate legal operations and policy development.
What you'll need#
- Current J.D. student status at an accredited law school.
- Eligibility to receive academic credit through a law school externship program.
- Strong research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
- Interest in corporate, commercial, technology, privacy, or compliance law.
