About the role#
This internship supports the Benefits and Wellbeing function at COPT Defense Properties. You will assist the HR team with administrative tasks and gain exposure to core human resources operations. This is a part-time, paid position based on a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Communicate with employees regarding their benefit coverage.
- Generate and review Excel reports to track benefit enrollment status.
- Manage and organize documentation, including scanning and saving files to electronic folders.
- Assist with recruitment efforts and various special projects.
- Coordinate company events, including planning and communication for gatherings like the Wellbeing Fair and holiday parties.
- Handle general office duties such as distributing mail and preparing Commitment Award letters.
- Partner with team members to learn daily responsibilities and workflows.
What you'll need#
- You must be a rising junior or senior pursuing a degree in Business Administration or Human Resources.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to learn company-specific software systems.
- Strong analytical, technical, and interpersonal skills.
- Clear communication abilities.
