About the role#
The Data Engineering Intern will join the Data Engineering team to support the design, development, and optimization of data flows across the organization. This role influences data consumers, executives, and analysts by enabling access to valuable insights. You will work closely with application teams to manage data pipelines and maintain the integrity of production systems.
What you'll do#
- Design and build the next generation data platform.
- Develop and automate data processing systems to deliver enterprise-scale insights.
- Create logging, metrics, and alerts to actively monitor data processes.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and application teams to develop data models and schemas.
- Assist in maintaining data integrity within production systems.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience designing, developing, testing, and implementing scalable data warehouse and BI solutions.
- Hands-on experience with real-time data pipelines, specifically Kinesis and Kafka.
- Experience with ETL and data blending tools such as Pentaho Data Integrator, Talend, or Informatica.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Understanding of database architecture and BI/analytical tools such as Tableau, Pentaho, or Power BI.
- Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or columnar databases like Vertica, Snowflake, or Redshift.
