About the role#
This is a part-time internship based in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. You will work under direct supervision to support the Substation Maintenance department. The role focuses on practical, hands-on experience with electrical infrastructure.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the installation of electrical substation equipment.
- Help maintain substation components like transformers, battery banks, and motor operated switches.
- Support the repair of gas and oil circuit breakers.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in an IC&E degree program.
- Completion of at least one semester of core college-level courses.
- A minimum GPA of 2.5.
Location & details#
- Location: Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Two 10-hour days per week is preferred.
- Compensation: 21.04 dollars per hour.
