About the role#
As a Controls Engineering Intern, you will work alongside our Controls Engineering team and technical leaders. You will contribute to project success by assisting with documentation, troubleshooting, and integration tasks. This role reports to a Controls Engineering Manager and provides an opportunity to learn from experienced engineers in a collaborative environment.
What you'll do#
- Develop software solutions using current technology.
- Support both electrical and mechanical design teams.
- Contribute to 1-5 active, real-world projects every day.
- Assist with automation design, debug, and acceptance testing.
- Find solutions to reach functional goals within project budgets and timelines.
- Perform hands-on assembly, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting of custom automation equipment.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a post-secondary engineering program (Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering).
- A target graduation date of 2029 or earlier.
- Eagerness to learn and work within a multi-disciplinary team to develop custom industrial automation systems.
- Ability to own a small project, ask for help, and use challenges as a way to improve.
- Willingness to look past common methods to find new solutions.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds.

- Locations: Bridgman, Michigan, or Holland, Michigan.
- Modality: On-site, full-time.
- This is a paid internship.
