About the role#
As a Controls Engineering Intern at CONVERGIX Automation Solutions, you will join our team in Fayetteville for the summer of 2027. You will work alongside the Controls Engineering Manager and technical leaders to support our group vision. This role involves providing ideas on process improvements, standards, and tools to help our team work more effectively. This is a full-time, on-site position.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to 1-5 projects every day.
- Support our electrical and mechanical design teams.
- Help develop PLC, HMI, and robotics programs.
- Assist with the assembly, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting of custom automation equipment.
- Work with your project team to find solutions that meet functional goals, budgets, and timelines.
- Provide insight and ideas to support the Controls group.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a post-secondary engineering program (Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering) and seeking a pre-grad work term.
- A reliable way to travel and the ability to travel within the US and Canada.
- A willingness to learn through a variety of tasks and challenges.
- Ability to work as a team player within a multi-disciplinary group.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, and lift up to 25 pounds as part of daily duties.

- Term: Summer 2027 (May 2027 to August 2027).
- This position is paid and requires on-site attendance.
