Culinary Intern, FLIK / Sanofi / Cambridge, MA

About the role#

The FLIK Culinary Internship is a paid program designed to provide students with hands-on experience in a professional kitchen environment. Interns work alongside culinary mentors to gain insight into the operations of a food service and hospitality organization, focusing on culinary authenticity, wellness, and sustainability.

What you'll do#

• Prepare menu items across all kitchen stations.
• Rotate through various stations, including pizza/pasta, deli, salad bar, grill, and international cuisine.
• Engage with guests and tailor plates to meet specific dietary needs.
• Review and adhere to culinary and front-of-house standards.
• Learn about organizational wellness and sustainability initiatives.
• Assist with the setup and execution of catering events.
• Practice safety and sanitation protocols consistently.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a college or professional culinary program, or at least 1 year of industry experience.
• Ability to meet your university’s GPA requirement for internships.
• Successful completion of sanitation standards training.
• Successful completion of relevant knife skills and/or Intro to Culinary coursework.
• Availability to work 20 – 40 hours per week based on business needs.
