About the role#
The Columbus Crew is hiring an IT Intern to provide technical support to our staff, coaches, and partners. You will act as the first point of contact for technology issues and assist with operations at our various facilities. This position requires roughly 30 hours per week and runs from January through November or December 2027.
What you'll do#
- Provide first and second level technical support for staff.
- Install and configure computer hardware, software, and printers.
- Troubleshoot laptops, desktops, and mobile devices running iOS, Android, and Microsoft products.
- Offer A/V support and assist with setup and tear down for events.
- Resolve network connectivity issues for end users.
- Maintain help desk operations and create technical documentation or user guides.
- Work across multiple sites, including Lower.com Field, Historic Crew Stadium, Ohio Health Performance Center, and the Municipal Light Plant.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or completion of a degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking fundamentals.
- Basic knowledge of operating systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks.
- Preferred experience includes ticketing systems, Active Directory, Office 365, and remote support tools.
- Relevant coursework in cybersecurity, network administration, or database management is a plus.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals are beneficial.
