About the role#
Collins Engineers, Inc. is hiring a Surveying Intern for the summer of 2026 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role involves both office work and time in the field. You will support our survey team by gathering data and performing technical tasks. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Perform field survey work, including network control, boundary, and construction surveys.
- Use survey programs to gather, review, and process field data.
- Assist with quality assurance, volume computations, and construction staking.
- Use 3D technologies to identify and resolve project conflicts.
- Conduct topographic mapping, scanning, and modeling.
- Perform mathematical computations for survey measurements and land records.
- Maintain survey field notes, sketches, and equipment.
- Follow safety protocols at all times.

- Current enrollment as a student in a Civil Engineering program.
