About the role#
Collins Engineers, Inc. is hiring a structural engineering intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position based in our Chicago office. You will work on-site, splitting your time between office tasks and field work. You will collaborate with licensed professional engineers on bridge inspections, bridge design, and load rating projects.
What you'll do#
- Support engineering teams with daily tasks and project duties.
- Help engineers with the research, development, and design of structural projects.
- Prepare engineering drawings and technical documents.
- Assist inspection team leaders with field work and the preparation of inspection reports.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- You are currently an undergraduate student pursuing a degree in civil engineering.
