About the role#
The Project Engineer Intern will support the project team by assisting with operational tasks and gaining practical experience in project management. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Participate in project planning sessions to understand scope, timelines, and deliverables.
- Assist the team with project execution and milestones.
- Prepare for and attend pre-job and weekly meetings.
- Provide project status updates during weekly meetings.
- Track project costs using timesheets, weekly quantities, and job cost reports.
- Maintain cost reports and billing quantities.
- Organize project documentation, including contracts and change orders.
- Keep detailed logs of project activities and daily work reports.
- Scan, index, and organize files for project reference.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a college degree program for engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, remain flexible, and work under pressure to meet short deadlines.
- Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Basic math skills for calculating and analyzing data.
