About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027 based in our Columbus, Ohio office. You will work directly with our accounting team to gain practical experience in the construction industry. This role is on-site and does not offer sponsorship.
What you'll do#
- Work alongside our accounting team to support daily operations.
- Assist with research, data entry, and filing to keep financial records organized.
- Prepare financial documents, including income statements, balance sheets, and invoices.
- Use bookkeeping software and handle confidential information with integrity.
- Collaborate with the team to analyze data and track information.
- Gain insight into monthly close procedures, profit/loss analysis, and job cost analysis.
- Learn how different departments report information to the accounting team.
- Take on additional projects to build your knowledge of office operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Accounting, Finance, or related degree program.
- Completion of introductory accounting courses and a basic understanding of financial principles.
- A valid driver license with a good driving record.
- Strong math aptitude and computer proficiency.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- A detail-oriented, responsible, and accurate approach to your tasks.
- A team-oriented mindset and a motivation to take on new challenges.
