About the role#
Code and Theory is hiring an HR Intern to support our People Operations team. You will work alongside HR generalists to assist with the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, and administrative tasks. This role supports Code and Theory as well as our subsidiary companies.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and maintain HR reporting, data entry, and record keeping.
- Support HR generalists with new hire onboarding processes.
- Complete I-9 forms and verify documentation.
- Schedule exit interviews for departing employees.
- Track data related to performance reviews.
- Manage active and terminated employee files to ensure they meet regulatory requirements.
- Lead or assist with special HR projects as needed.
What you'll need#
- Strong to advanced Excel skills with comfort managing large amounts of data.
- Experience working within G Suite, including Gmail, Google Calendars, and Google Sheets.
- Critical attention to detail while multitasking.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive and flexible mindset.
- A clear interest in HR and problem solving.

- This is a paid, full-time internship.
- The role is based in New York, New York, with both on-site and remote work options.
- The internship follows a rolling term.
