About the role#
Coalfire is seeking interns for our Compliance Advisory team for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid internship program lasting 10 weeks from late May through August. We are looking for students graduating between December 2027 and June 2028 who have the drive and aptitude to support our advisory services.
What you'll do#
- Participate in control testing interviews for client engagements.
- Assist the team with gathering information and security artifacts.
- Analyze security control artifacts against compliance standards.
- Document your analysis results using technical writing skills.
- Develop recommendations to improve compliance processes and controls.
- Build a foundation in cybersecurity essentials with a focus on Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC).
- Study security frameworks including FedRAMP, ISO, SOC, and HIPAA/HITRUST to understand their structure and control requirements.

- Strong drive, professional acumen, and aptitude for cybersecurity work.

- This position is based in the United States.
- You may work in a remote or hybrid capacity depending on your preference and proximity to one of our offices.
- The internship is a full-time commitment.
