About the role#
Cleveland-Cliffs is seeking a Plant Accounting Intern for the summer of 2027 at our Indiana Harbor location. This role provides hands-on experience in corporate accounting within a manufacturing environment. You will accumulate, analyze, and report cost information to support management and operations teams in their decision-making processes.
What you'll do#
- Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and reports to ensure accuracy and conformance to US GAAP.
- Prepare journal entries and perform financial statement reconciliations.
- Develop and maintain solutions to address business and financial problems.
- Assist with project work in the Shared Services area.
- Manage inventories within Plant Accounting.
- Perform process improvement work and other duties as needed to support the business.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
- Completion of at least sophomore year of study by the summer of 2027.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
