About the role#
As a Material Science or Metallurgical Engineering intern, you will work alongside engineering and operational leaders to solve real-world problems. This role involves hands-on participation in production processes and quality improvement efforts at our facility.
What you'll do#
- Review production process data on a daily basis.
- Analyze the disposition of non-conforming products.
- Participate on quality improvement teams.
- Conduct and analyze mill experiments.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Analyze current operating performance and standard operating procedures to recommend improvements.
- Support the business with various other projects as needed.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical degree.
- Completion of at least your sophomore year of study by the summer of 2027.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
