About the role#
As a Health & Safety Intern, you will support our team in maintaining a secure work environment at our Indiana Harbor facility. This role involves working alongside operational leaders to monitor safety standards and improve our site procedures.
What you'll do#
- Help maintain a safety-focused work environment.
- Assist in developing continuous improvement plans through training sessions and communication.
- Support the emergency response program.
- Organize safety documentation and information from online resources.
- Accompany safety inspectors during property inspections.
- Help track and resolve work hazard complaints or concerns.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor degree program in a related field.
- Completion of at least your sophomore year of study by the summer of 2027.
- Current legal authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

- This is an on-site position based in East Chicago, Indiana.
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
