About the role#
As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will work alongside engineering and operational leaders to solve real-world problems. You will gain hands-on experience in a steel manufacturing environment, working on projects that vary based on your education level and plant location.
What you'll do#
- Perform predictive, preventative, and emergency maintenance on equipment.
- Research, design, and install machinery while managing repairs and modernization efforts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions.
- Assist with the planning, scheduling, and cost control of engineering projects.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and reports.
- Analyze operating performance and standard procedures to suggest improvements.
- Support the business with various additional projects as needed.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program for Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related technical degree.
- Completion of at least your sophomore year by the summer of 2027.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
