About the role#
This 12-week paid internship provides an opportunity to gain experience within the renewable energy industry. As an Accounting Intern, you will assist with financial tasks including account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and record maintenance. You will work alongside senior accounting professionals to support our organizational and partnership structures.
What you'll do#
- Review and support the preparation of financial transactions for accuracy and conformity with GAAP and company policies.
- Prepare journal entries and complete balance sheet reconciliations for month-end closing.
- Develop financial reports and records related to assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and tax liability.
- Assist in preparing consolidated financial statements for forecasts, budgets, and regulatory reporting.
- Analyze contracts to ensure accounting entries and reports align with requirements.
- Collaborate with internal departments to support shared financial goals.
- Maintain project timelines and deliverables while demonstrating core values of being caring, committed, and courageous.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in accounting, preferably entering your final year.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and proficiency with accounting software.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and an ability to learn company-specific tools and processes.
- Developing analytical skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve routine issues under supervision.
- Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines during month-end close and reporting cycles.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivation to manage complex problems and competing priorities with attention to detail.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site position based in Boise, Idaho.
- The internship term is Summer 2027.
