About the role#
The Summer Associate Program provides hands-on experience in the construction industry. You will be embedded within a project team or department to learn about project management, field operations, and business development. This full-time program spans 8 to 10 weeks and includes a team-based capstone project where you will develop solutions for business opportunities and present your findings to leadership.
What you'll do#
- Manage project documentation including submittals, RFIs, and material tracking.
- Review gross billings, track change orders, and process subcontractor requisitions.
- Act as an advisor to subcontractors to assist with field installation planning.
- Monitor tradeworkers to ensure quality of work and site safety.
- Assist with site logistics and schedule management.
- Solve unforeseen challenges related to installation, scheduling, and trade partner coordination.
- Review contract documents and perform preliminary evaluations of subcontractor bids.
- Conduct quantity takeoffs and prepare bid proposals by quantifying labor and material prices.
- Collaborate on the execution of subcontractor agreements and review scopes of work.
