About the role#
The Safety Summer Associate role offers hands-on experience in the construction industry. You will work directly with safety and operational leaders to safeguard the health of craft workers and team members. This full-time program spans 8 to 10 weeks, starting in late May or early June. You will be embedded within a jobsite team to gain field experience and participate in formal training, networking events, and a team-based capstone project.
What you'll do#
- Assist in executing corporate and project-specific safety and health programs.
- Promote a safety culture by coaching, mentoring, and educating trade partners and internal team members.
- Conduct daily jobsite walks to monitor safety compliance.
- Track metrics and assist in reporting project safety performance.
- Partner with field superintendents and project leadership to plan for high-risk operations, such as crane lifts and hazardous material handling.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university program working toward a bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety.
- A genuine interest in the construction industry.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including navigating uneven terrain, stairs, and ladders.
- Comfort with lifting and carrying materials up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments, including active construction sites and office settings.

- Compensation: $23 to $29 per hour.
