Project Coordinator Co-op Student

About the role#

Clark Builders is seeking a Project Coordinator Co-op Student to support project managers and superintendents in Calgary, Alberta. This role involves assisting with the construction process, monitoring project plans and schedules, and ensuring deadlines are met. This is a full-time, paid position.

What you'll do#

• Support project startups, including tendering, bid evaluations, quantity take-offs, and permit applications.
• Manage project execution and document control, including Requests for Information (RFI), Site Instructions (SI), and Change Orders (CO).
• Assist with project closeout, including inspections and tracking punch and deficiency lists.
• Maintain the integrity of the QA/QC plan.
• Facilitate, record, and compile meeting minutes and follow up on action items.
• Track project productivity and performance.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree, diploma, or 2-year certificate in a construction-related discipline, such as Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or Architecture.
• Understanding of Lean thinking, collaborative planning, and continuous improvement principles.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Previous experience as a Project Coordinator in commercial, industrial, or institutional construction is an asset.
• Experience with Procore or the Last Planner System is considered an asset.

• Term availability: Summer 2027, Fall 2027, or Winter 2028 (rolling).
