About the role#
Clark Builders is hiring a Project Coordinator Co-op Student to assist our teams in Calgary, Alberta. You will work directly with Project Managers and Superintendents to support the construction process. This role involves monitoring project plans, organizing stakeholder meetings, and ensuring project deadlines are met. We offer 8, 12, or 16-month work terms.
What you'll do#
- Assist with project startups, including tendering and bid evaluations.
- Manage project execution and document control, such as Requests for Information (RFI), Site Instructions (SI), and Change Orders (CO).
- Oversee project closeout tasks, including inspections and tracking punch and deficiency lists.
- Maintain the integrity of the QA/QC plan.
- Record meeting minutes and follow up on action items.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors degree, diploma, or 2-year certificate in a construction-related discipline, such as Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or Architecture.
- An understanding of Lean thinking, collaborative planning, and continuous improvement.
- Previous experience as a Project Coordinator in commercial, industrial, or institutional construction is an asset.
- Familiarity with Procore or the Last Planner System is an asset.
