Project Coordinator Student

About the role#

Clark Builders is seeking Project Coordinator Students for an 8 or 12-month work term beginning in September 2026. This is a full-time, on-site, paid position supporting project managers and superintendents in all aspects of the construction process. You will assist with monitoring project plans and schedules, organizing stakeholder meetings, and ensuring project deadlines are met.

What you'll do#

• Support project startups, including tendering and bid evaluations, subcontract preparation, permit applications, quantity take-offs, and managing project schedules.
• Handle project execution and document control, including Requests for Information (RFI), Site Instructions (SI), Submittals, Change Requests (CRX), and Change Orders (CO).
• Manage project closeout tasks, such as assisting with inspections, owner training, managing O&M Manuals, and tracking deficiency lists.
• Maintain the integrity of the QA/QC plan.
• Facilitate, record, and compile meeting minutes while following up on action items.
• Track project productivity and performance, and support project accounting tasks.
• Foster ongoing trade partner and client relationships.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree, diploma, or 2-year certificate in a construction-related discipline, such as Civil, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or Business Administration.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with an analytical approach to problem-solving.
• Experience in a previous Project Coordinator role within the commercial, industrial, or institutional construction sectors is considered an asset.
• Familiarity with Procore, the Last Planner System, or collaborative pull planning is an asset.
