About the role#
Clark Builders is hiring Project Coordinator Interns for a field-based role in Red Deer, Alberta. You will support Project Managers and Superintendents throughout the construction process. This role involves monitoring project plans and schedules while ensuring deadlines are met. You will work on-site for an 8 or 12-month term starting in January 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support project startups, including tendering, bid evaluations, subcontract preparation, and permit applications.
- Manage project execution and document control, such as RFI, SI, submittals, CRX, and CO processes.
- Facilitate meetings, record minutes, and track project productivity and performance.
- Assist with project closeout tasks, including inspections, owner training, O&M Manuals, and deficiency lists.
- Maintain the integrity of the QA/QC plan and handle project accounting basics.
- Support and grow relationships with trade partners and clients.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelors degree, diploma, or 2-year certificate program in a construction-related discipline.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Experience in a similar role within a Commercial, Industrial, or Institutional construction organization is an asset.
- Familiarity with Procore, Last Planner System, collaborative pull planning, or various construction contracts is an asset.
